Hi, a few days ago my device (my cloud 4tb) became unavailable and the red led is constantly flashing. Tried to power off for a while and plug back in but it is the same. Goes to the safe mode page and tells me that the firmware is corrupted and to manually load a new one.
It does not tell me what the current firmware version is though. The manual lists indications for a blinking red light, but nothing about a solid red light. The control panel reports everything as healthy.
The drive temps have gone up a bit, reaching 40c. During shut down and power up the light blinks blue as normal. The fan also goes into high speed mode during power up as normal.
If it is a hot weather, then you need to disconnect the wires and keep the mycloud cool down for a couple of hours. Get a brand new ethernet connection wire. Even if you are 100% sure that the one you are using is working.

My wd 2tb, my cloud was working fine and now i cant access it, the front led indicator is showing a red light. I unplugged and re plugged and also tried follwing the 4 sec reset, it would flash blue light and after a couple min go back to red right. Get the disk out of the case, connect it to a linux machine using a sata => usb adapter, run fsck on all partitions, put it back in the case, voila, it works.
Ray1 february 16, 2017, 4:16pm #1. This morning when i got up i noticed the power led light was a constant red (not flashing). I can’t find anything wrong, i can log onto the system just fine.
I did a test both on system and hard drives and both tests passed. I have the 12 tb system using raid 1, when i logon to the system it says i have 128.
