We are surprisingly happy with the black interior, even here in the summer. I saw a demo 3 with white interior at our local tesla store. The seats showed every speck of dust and dirt and hair (lovely), of which there were many, and looked.
I feel like the white makes the car feel more roomy. Also, if you live in warm/hot climate, the white actually makes a huge difference during the summer, especially because the roof is made of glass. I've never seen anyone regretting getting the black, and the same is not true for the white.
I've picked up today my 4th tesla model 3, and again black interior. It's so much easier unless you want to be slave of the car, and always be worried about cleaning, wearing or not jeans, etc. Was on a road trip, driving about 5 hours away from home.

For me it’s more following logic behind going “light & bright” same as home remodeling and decoration. Lightening up your car interior with the ultra white seats just makes it pop visually, also feels more roomy and airy. Certain exterior paint colors go very well with it like white, red, blue.
