One piece starts off very slow naruto starts off fairly strong and interesting both have a lot of depth in terms of characters and their backstory although i would argue one piece does a better job with using their full roster of characters i think one piece also wins in the world building just because as naruto limits itself by stating how grand the ninja world is while one piece used an.
