In this redstone tutorial i show you how to turn on and off a nether portal! The third and fourth command teleport players that have been in the portal for 3 seconds. Replace and with coordinates just outside (!) of the first and second portals.
The last command resets the timer after teleporting. This shouldn't be strictly necessary, but it's better to have at any rate. How do i disable nether portals?

Create the nether and end worlds you want, so ig you can use the command /mv create nether nether and /mv create end end (if not the_end) if you haven't already. In the world you don't want players to create portals, run the command /mvm set portalform none. Sorry if i wasn't specific enough, feel free to ask me anything else if you're.

My friend and i are working on a world together with a nice hidden redstone portal that is encased in nether quartz until you throw a switch and the portal is revealed. Only problem is that when we want it to go away we've been digging up a single block of obsidian and replacing it.
From the wiki, the only ways to deactivate a nether portal are explosions or pouring a water bucket directly into the portal. If you don't want to have anything explode, it looks like you will not be able to deactivate it with redstone. One option, if you want to try using tnt without destroying anything nearby, you can use obsidian to.
Convert this to whatever audio format the nether portal sound uses and rename it to the same name as the portal sound. Go to. minecraft/versions/forge 1. 7. 10/forge 1. 7. 10. jar (through winrar). Add the new sound in the same location as the portal sound and replace it.
Of you're playing on java, i believe this mod allows you to change the strength of the portal nausea effect, but it seems like it might be single player only. You may be able to find a similar mod that is multiplayer compatible. You go through instantly in creative, but that's not an option if you want achievements.
This data pack makes it so you can disable nether portals! To disable or enable nether portals, just run the function 'disable' to disable them, or run the function 'enable' to enable nether portals! If you want to uninstall the data pack, make sure to use the uninstall function!
