Brilliant core concept with the ai, gorgeous environments, and enjoyable gameplay. Aloy was a mary sue who broke my immersion in the game as soon as it became apparent that she was one. An overhyped mediocre title that comes to pc and brings nothing special.

Im not talking about the bad port or anything, it runs fine for me, i am more surprised how low quality this game is in general. The first thing i did was run around with a controller and aim around and jump up and down and stuff. The animation of the main character jumping looked artifical and cheap.

Imo it has the best combat system in any open world game, the location based damage, lack of bullet sponges, and hard hitting enemies make combat super engaging, and the consistent enemy health and damage makes progression way more satisfying than other open world games, like. If you care about things such as gameplay or gameplay loop, then yes this game is overrated. Most critics were enamored by the masterful technical achievements that was reached.
In terms of graphics and performance, this is easily the best looking, and running open world game to date. I feel horizon zero dawn could have been a much better experience if it was linear with open areas in between to explore (like metro exodus, tomb raider).
