There tend to be rock outcrops or pillars that you can get onto that they can't. At that point, use summon spells, such as the flame atronach that i recommend, as well as long range spells and/or arrows. Attacking any mammoths in the area that you can hit will usually pull back and giants that have run away.

Legendary_musas 10 years ago #10. Turn into a werewolf, use the sprint attack and kill the giant as he's lay on the ground. Werewolf also grants you faster movement so you can easily stay behind a mammoth and slash it to death.
