The knight is a mysterious character referenced often in deltarune. While not making a physical appearance, the current major bosses of king and queen seem subordinate to the knight, making it a primary antagonist. According to its followers, the knight boasts tremendous power, and has the ability to open dark fountains and create dark worlds, a power seemingly only held by.
As of chapter two, i fully believe kris is the knight the darkners talk about. When queen discusses how the knight stabbed the earth with their. Press j to jump to the feed.
Since the demon doesn’t want them to reveal info about the plot and ruin it’s scheme, it makes them speak in broken ways to appear insane. This is also why it attacks spamton through kris, when he tried to reveal stuff about the knight. My lore speculation is that deltarune’s light world is one that has been reiterated upon by different.
Kris is the main protagonist of deltarune and the human hero of light. During chapter 1, they are primarily controlled by the player. Real world | dark world tier:
Unknown ( kris is referred as they/them) age: Unknown, in their mid teens (is a. However, with the internet outage, kris is entirely and utterly alone, creating the dark fountains to make dark worlds for them to escape to from the cold and crushing reality of life.
That explains why there’s already a second one by the time kris and susie fall into the dark world in chapter 1. There’s definitely some holes in this theory. If you could ever imagine, a sequel to the best video ever made. as promised in my last video i am here making a another theory.
Many people in the comments. (it's what they call you. )when inspecting a mirror in chapter 2. Kris is a human lightner and the main protagonist of deltarune.
They are presumably the human hero of light of the prophecy. In a dark world, they function as the party's leader. Kris is controlled by the player for the majority of the game.
The few exceptions are brief cutscenes, or when they tear the soul out of their body. Characters that know what the knight looks like (such as seam, lancer's dad, and the queen) also don't compare kris to them. We also know that kris wants to do more dark world adventures, just as susie does.
So that gives them motive to make a fountain with susie present without him needing to be the knight. That or kris isn't going to do anything big yet and we will just get hint's of his evil plans at the end of every chapter. Maybe, i know i’m missing some of the details but until chapter 2 releases this is just my way to tie all of the loose threads together.

The knight is the main antagonist of the 2018 indie game deltarune, serving as the unseen overarching antagonist of the first two chapters, and it is most likely that they will appear in a later chapter as an antagonist. The knight is the creator of multiple dark fountains around the town, which slowly disrupted the balance between light and dark, which would end in the world.
Finished chapter 2 of deltarune and it was amazing! Yes, and of their own free will. Yes, but only because of a third entity possessing them.
No, the living room fountain was the first one they made. I am incredibly unsure and cannot fully agree with any of the above. A followup to the truth about kris, providing further theory and analysis and discussion on why they probably aren't the knight!
Massive spoilers for deltaru. The real kris, not the one controlled by us, is clearly in a terrible state of mind. Their brother was more loved than them, they had a traumatic experience at the mysterious door south of hometown, their parents are getting divorced.
In deltarune, we are left unsure of who the knight in, but in chapter 2 we get added info on the knight. The queen says 'reaching its long hand to the sky' and 'it coursed its will into its blade'. The queen also says determination made the world, and its something all lightners posses, this means that only the lightners, which as we know are.
Deltarune's chapter 1 is about stopping the dark fountain that the chaos king has erected in the dark world, as it is destined to bring disaster, and will (based on what the king of spades says) free the darkners from their prison. In essence, the fountain is making the dark world, which is normally limited as a sort of counterpart, more real. Kris is the knight.
At the end of chapter 2, we see kris attempt to open a dark fountain. My theory is, they fail, because they don’t have enough determination. Kris has been proven to share their soul with ralsei and susie, as proven when susie uses a red soul in her battle against lancer.
Kris cannot be the knight either, due to the fact that the kings and lancer would recognize him immediately. Again ralsei is more likely deltarune's variant of flowey. Also given what we know of asriel in deltarune, him being the knight does not fit his character.
I could see kris imagining a fake asriel. Big epic battle, the knight dies, and the fun gang goes on to fight the titans, if that ever happens. The real kris, not the one controlled by us, is clearly in a terrible state of mind.
