You need to space them out a bit so your snail doesn't get overwhelmed (a good indication is doing another input as soon as the exclamation mark over its head disappears). About 8 inputs should be enough to boost your snail's speed so it wins. Can you win the thundersnail race?

Yes, you can win the game. Keep trying, it's not hard to figure out how much encouragement you actually need to give the snail. Thundersnail has 4 outcomes.
Getting 1st place, getting 2nd place, getting 3rd place, or the snail freezes up from pressing z. I did my best. You just have to wait after that.
Another way is to go for the win if you are already able to do it everytime, but spam z when the snails is on the black and white floor. When you press z, it actually stop your snail.
