Now the button associated with turning sabers on/off is the 'interact button', the one you use to enter turrets in the map, or to activte the cantina band holo in the cantina, or to interact with. If you can, i haven’t figured it out yet. It seems like the lightsaber automatically turns on when enemies are nearby or if you jump or usea skill. I'm assuming it's so enemy players can see (and possibly hear) the lightsaber and, consequently, the hero, so i don't think you can turn it off.

I found an old thread that says the key on pc for turning off lightsaber is 2. And indeed in the key bindings screen in game is shows 2 as the key for down ability, but it doesn't work. Battlefront ii all posts are welcome so long as they aren't spammy, hateful, and are in good.
Is specially useful in heroes vs. Villains to know if someone (with a lightsaber) is behind you only using sound.
